The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) will host AR250, a regional agriculture education convening, on Saturday, April 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on its campus.
This free event is open to educators from public, private, and homeschool settings, as well as community members interested in agriculture and career development. AR250 is designed to provide innovative resources, practical tools, and valuable insights into the wide range of career pathways available in the agriculture industry.
Attendees will hear from a lineup of expert speakers addressing agricultural education resources, real-world applications in modern farming, and “The Power of Whole Foods for a Healthy Life.”
The event will also feature a live drone demonstration led by University of Arkansas experts Cengiz Koparan and Akwasi Tagoe, showcasing how drone technology is being used in today’s agricultural practices.
Participants can also enjoy the annual Master Gardener Plant Sale and a guided tour of UACCB’s Gateway Center, including information about the college’s new FARM program.
Lunch will be provided at no cost, courtesy of First Community Bank.
Organizers say AR250 aims to equip attendees with knowledge and tools to better prepare students for success in one of Arkansas’s most vital industries.
