The Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 64th annual Arkansas Folk Festival will be held on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
Fan favorites, such as the parade, will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the tractor show to follow immediately after. The chamber is also hosting Chicken Bingo at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, and at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Saturday. A dessert walk is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by a turtle race for children at 3 p.m.
Live folk music will be performed from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Attendees dressed in period clothing are invited to join the Folk Fashion Stroll on the main stage at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Chamber of Commerce is still accepting applications for parade float entries and pork butt cookers for Smokin’ on the Square. For more details, call the chamber at 870-269-8068.
The Arkansas Folk Festival is free to attend. Numerous food and craft vendors will be on-site.

- Friday, April 17: Noon to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 18: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
